21 THIS WEEK Special Election Edition To Air On Access Montgomery

Access Montgomery will air a special edition of 21 THIS WEEK featuring the candidates running for the Montgomery County Council Seat left vacant by the death of Councilman Don Praisner. This special 90 minute edition of 21 THIS WEEK will premier at 7 PM on Sunday March 29th and will continue its run through Sunday April 19th. (Note - Air dates are listed below.)

“These forums help Montgomery County residents know where the candidates stand on issues that are important to them,” said Richard Turner, Executive Director of Montgomery Community Television, Inc. “It is important that all voices in an election are heard, and providing this opportunity to the community contributes to residents being informed voters.”

Casey Aiken hosts 21 THIS WEEK, a weekly public affairs show covering national, state and local political issues. This Special Election Edition of 21 THIS WEEK will give viewers a chance to get to know the candidates for the District 4 Seat and give the candidates an opportunity to have their voices heard regarding current issues affecting the Citizens of Montgomery County.

The primary election will be held on April 21st with the General Election on May 19th. District 4 includes all or parts of Aspen Hill, Burtonsville, Calverton, Cloverly, Colesville, Derwood, Fairland, Olney, Sandy Spring, Silver Spring, Spencerville, Wheaton and White Oak.

Access Montgomery, a service of Montgomery Community Television, Inc., is the County’s only independent, nonprofit organization dedicated to providing residents with diverse programming, television production, and training resources. Access Montgomery has successfully educated, informed, and entertained county viewers for over 20 years, training more than 4,000 county residents in its television production workshops.
